Levie Bierschenk was imprisoned during the war in Vught Concentration Camp. He escaped, but was later arrested again. On 15 November 1943 he was deported to Auschwitz where he was selected to work. In the end he died of starvation somewhere in Central Europe.
His wife and child survived the war.
