Services for Bennie Leon Hoyl, 65, 1008 East Clinton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. J. M. Cason, Assembly of God minister from Shreveport, La., officiating.

Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery.

Hoyl died Friday at Community Hospital in San Antonio after an illness.

He was born Feb. 28, 1918, in Carter, Okla., and was member of Elks Lodge and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame. His wife, Pearl, died Jan. 28, 1980.

Survivors are his son, Bill Hoyl of San Antonio; two brothers, William R. Hoyl of Austin and Ray Hoyl of Morton, Texas; a sister, Joy Cason of Shreveport; and four grandchildren.
