Diphtheria Claims Child
Harry, the eight month old son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Byrne, of Cloe, died last night of Diphtheria and was buried this afternoon.
Helen, a 3 year old child of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Byrne, died on Friday and was buried on Saturday. The bereavement at the Byrne home is a particularly sad one. Married but a few years, two children had been born to the couple and both have been claimed by death within three days. These are the first deaths to have occurred in Cloe as a result of the Diphtheria Epidemic. The town is under State Quarantine.
