Catharine Miller the (first) wife of John Hess II, they married 1789 Washington township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. John Hess III the son Johann (John) II and Catharine Charlott (Miller) Hess. The daughter Mathias and Susanna (Mueller}sic{.) They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 6 daughters. they lived in Washington Township, Ripley, Indiana, United States for about 10 years, they then returned to Old Forge, to Hess family homestead Franklin County, Pennsylvania.

(4.) Maria Hess. b.1826–d.1849 married Henry Oaks.
