SODA SPRINGS - Birdie Barkdull, 79, of Soda Springs, Idaho, passed away October 23, 2004, in Ogden, Utah, due to an accident which occurred in her home October 16, 2004.
Birdie was born November 16, 1924, in Soda Springs, Idaho, the daughter of John F. and Jennie Bradley Shillinger. She married Wendell (Shorty) Barkdull May 23, 1945, in Montpelier, Idaho. They made their home in Georgetown and Soda Springs. Birdie spent most of her time working at local banks to help provide for her family. In her spare time she enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. She is survived by her son, Jack Blake and Janice Caldwell of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Linda Dabell of Kalispell, Montana; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Thursday, October 28, 2004, at noon in the LDS Chapel in Georgetown, Idaho. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs.
