Vester, the son of John and Nancy Hampton Crum, was born Feb. 13, 1917 in Holcomb, Mo. He passed away on Jan. 6, 2013 in Lake Wood, Calif.
Mr. Crum served in the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He retired from McDonald Douglas Aircraft in 1982.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dorothy Crum.
He is survived by his son of Leesville; daughter and husband of Long Beach, Calif.; sister of Maryland Heights, Mo.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
