Juan Felipe Legarreta age 27 passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in Oklahoma City.

Juan was born January 5, 1985 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Juan F. Legarreta-Lopez and Lourdes Rivera Legarreta.

He graduated from Claremore Sequoyah High School with the Class of 2003. Juan served in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer during Iraqi Freedom and received an honorable discharge.

He received his Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from Rogers State University. Juan was attending OU Tulsa for his Masters degree.

On April 14, 2012 he married Gabriela Soberal Legarreta.

Juan worked as a Police Officer for the City of Jenks. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

He is survived by his wife, Gabriela Legarreta of Tulsa, his parents, Juan and Lourdes Legarreta, his sisters, Joan L. Legarreta, Yamile D. Legarreta, his nieces, Jazmine D. Algarin Legarreta, Annabelle L. Algarin Legarreta along with other family members, friends, co-workers and acquaintances.

An honor procession is scheduled to take place Sunday evening through the city of Jenks to honor Jenks police Officer Juan Legaretta, Jenks police said. The route will lead through downtown Jenks on Main Street starting around 5:30 p.m.

Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 2200 W. Ithica Street, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Reverend Joe Townsend will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, friends are contributing to the Juan Legarreta Memorial Fund, BancFirst in Jenks.
