Antonio died in a construction accident while working as a railroad laborer near Folsom, NJ in March 1906. He and two other Italian immigrants died when a gravel embankment gave way and buried them alive. He left a young widow and four children under the age of 6. He is buried in Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton, NJ.
