Frank J. Shahan

Age 67, formerly of Bellefonte, went home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2008, suddenly at Christiana Hospital.

He had been employed by Chrysler and Wilmington Police Dept. He co-founded Shahan and Lattomus Photography. He was employed by New Castle County Airport where he was Chief of Operations and Security, as well as Airport Director. He was currently enjoying retirement as a full-time pop-pop. He was a 1958 graduate of Wilmington High School and a member of it's Hall of Fame for Basketball. He wore #14, was All State, was the All time leading scorer from 1958-1982 and received a full basketball scholarship to American University. He was a Dynamiter and Pals. His hobbies included spending time with his children and grandchildren, auto mechanics, basketball, family/recreational photography, buying and selling used cars and wood working. He was a long-time photographer of St. Anthony's Sports Banquet and the Leukemia Classic Golf Tournament. He was an avid Boston Celtics and Bob Cousy fan.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann McCartney; sons, Brent (Lisa), Darren (fiance, Tara Beck), Brian (Gretchen), Jeff (Kimmy); brothers, William,Sr. (Charlotte); grandchildren, Riley, Casey, Nicki, Autumn, Kalen, Kelsey and unborn grandchild due in August. He was predeceased by his mother, Anna; father, Frank; brother, John; sisters, Margaret and Dolly.
