Emma Jean Harvey, 77, went home to be with the Lord at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2002, from the Raleigh Center in Beaver following a long illness.

Born March 10, 1925, in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Eldridge and Oma Williams Ellison Sr.

Jean was a lifelong resident of Summers County. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Nimitz, and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Eva Ellison Dobbins.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Lloyd E. Harvey; two daughters, Janey Angell and husband, Robert, of Jumping Branch and Janet Toney of Monroe County; a brother, Eldridge "Whitey" Ellison Jr. and wife, Wilma, of Hinton; a sister, Margie Allen of Nimitz; three grandchildren, Neta Angell Greenlief and husband, Travis, of Carolina Beach, N.C., Kevin Wykle of Hilldale and Greg Angell of Jumping Branch; and a great-granddaughter, Brittany Wykle.
