Mr. Furgione was a retired maintenance worker with the Atlantic City Expressway Authority. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Hammonton American Legion Post No. 186. He was a lifelong area resident.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred; a son, Dennis of Hammonton; three brothers, John of Hammonton, Thomas of Toms River and Joseph of Bellmawr; two sisters, Theresa Pierce of Mattawa, Mich., and Lucy Ludlow of Hallandale, Fla; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m Tuesday at St. Martin de Porres Church in Hammonton. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St. Burial will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
