By 1880, he was living in Clay County, Nebraska. Matilda's status is unknown, but he married Mary E. Everly ca. 1880 and fathered Lorena E. (b. 10/??/91). He returned to Pennsylvania and died in Harrisburg at age 78-2-7 from a "cerebral hemorrhage."
