Welford, SC - Funeral services for Private William E. Skinner, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Skinner, of Wellford, SC, Route #1 will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Wood Mortuary by the Chaplain, W. R. Bauknight, Jr. Interment will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Greer National Guard. Private William E. Skinner entered the U. S. Marine Corps on June 23, 1944 and was killed in action on Iwo Jima March 8, 1945. The following are asked to meet at the Mortuary at 1:45 to serve as pallbearers: Willie Sellars, Hubert and Calvin Dobson, J. C. and Leon Campbell, and Murray Coleman. The following are asked to meet at the same time to form an honoray escort: Douglas Lawson, Gentry Gwinn, Fulmer McMakin, Garner and Grill Galloway, Dauris Morrow, Dan and George Newman.
