Note: DOB is listed in one Ankrom family group sheet and the Jefferson county death record as Feb. 26, 1841 (1841), while a Jefferson county genealogy cemetery listing has the year as 1831. Will use the Feb. 26, 1831 date for this memorial pending any clarification as it more closely matches the age at death reportedly 70y 8m 2d. Use these dates with caution.

Son of John Henry Ankrom and Hannah Francis Ankrom.

Married first on Jan. 28, 1872 to Francis Adams Ankrom in Jefferson county, Iowa. At least two children - a daughter, Leote (a/k/a Leota J) Ankrom is buried in Wright cemetery. Whether or not she was one of or in addition to those two children isn't clear.

Married again on Oct. 31, 1898 to Mary Woods Ankrom.

Information about when these wives died, and where buried, is not found in Ankrom materials at the Fairfield Public library. Any clarification would be appreciated.

----------
Note:
Andrew is believed to be buried in Wright cemetery, but without a headstone. An Ankrom family group sheet evidently had the burial to be in Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa but that has not been supported by cemetery records.
