Because of two family stories indicating she was a Holley by birth and had an Aunt Mary Rice. If this is correct, then she must be listed as Holley/Holly. If it is wrong, then her ancestry will be the same as Locelia Selden elsewhere in the tree. However, eye witness verification can be made as to a Bible showing the inscription: "To Mary Clarissa Holley from Aunt Mary Rice."
