Sophia was the daughter of Gottfried Leopold and Louisa Wolff Greve. She was the sister of Frederica (#55046420) and Henry (#90548868). In 1839 she gave birth to twin daughters Laura and Lisette; the name of the father is not known and the twins bore the name of Greve. At some point she immigrated to the US and about 1850 she married William Fortriede. The couple had three daughters, Sophia, Augusta and Matilda. Sophia died of cancer of the omentum.
