S/O William Leonard and Sarah Jane Henson, he was said to be a twin. His known siblings were, Sarah Lucinda, Isabella Jane, Emeline, F., Mary V., Tennesee E. (Tennie), and Analeatha C. He married Cordia Alice White on March 31, 1878 in Polk Co., MO. Together they had 9 children. David crossed the Great Salt Lake twice in a covered wagon. The first trip was to Los Angeles where he and his family owned a grocery store. Sadly, his youngest child, Analeatha fell off a fence while playing behind the store and died several days later of head injuries. She was taken back to Mo. for burial. The next trip was to Yuba City, CA. where he he became peach orchardist, living in the Franklin District of Yuba City. He was my great grandfather.

He died of Uremia poisoning.
