Sandra Kay Burnaman died peacefully at the home of her sister Susan Cassera in Phoenix, AZ on Aug 19, 2014. Born on Jan 24, 1948 to Roy William and Betty Oleta Betts; one of six children, her father was a career Army man. They were stationed in the United States, Panama and Japan. She attended High School in Fort Benning and shortly after, met and married Murray Burnaman. He was the love of her life.

After they married on May 6, 1976, Sandy and Murray headed West, living in Arizona, Fallbrook, CA and finally settling in Ocotillo Wells, CA in 1978. She worked at the Blu-In for several years and The Center Market from 2000-2012.

Mrs. Burnaman loved the desert. Every weekend you could find her and Murray four-wheeling and rock and mineral hunting. She was very interested in Indian art and the culture.

She is survived by her sister Susan; brothers Russell, Robert, Stephen; and sister Sharon preceded her in death. She had many loving nieces and nephews.
