Elsa L. Chambers-Young, passed away peacefully at age 93 on June 14, 2012, with her family at her side. She married Jack Chambers in 1946; they adopted two children. She lived a full life in her successful careers as secretary, wife, mother, retail pharmacy owner in Rancho Bernardo and Borrego Springs, real estate associate with First Borrego Springs Properties, and Coldwell Banker. She loved meeting and helping people find their new home. Shortly before Jack's death, she passed her broker's exam and continued selling real estate until age 85.
She married Warren Young in 1996. She loved her family, desert community, and cherished her many friend's. Elsa was action packed and being around her was never a dull moment. Her wonderful smile and loving spirit will be missed. Her faith in Jesus Christ gave her hope, strength and comfort.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack (1994); son, Charles (1999); second husband, Warren (2005). She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Cary) Holst; grandchildren, Carlene (Drew) Miller, Kevin Holst; great-grandson, Callen Miller, all from Santa Maria, CA; step-son, John Young (Robin), San Diego, CA; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 22nd, at the RoadRunner Golf and Country Club, Borrego Springs at 1:00 pm. For more information call 805-937-3058.
