Obituary.

Edward B. Coppenbarger

Edward Bennett Coppenbarger, was born near Geuda Springs, Kansas April 19, 1886, and passed on to his eternal home from his residence in Arkansas City, March 14, 1940, at the age of 53 years, 10 months and 24 days. He grew to manhood in the vicinity of his birth.

On July 7, 1908, he was united in marriage to Winnie Stout and to this union were born three children. They are Tampa Elizabeth Hovey, Hooser, Kansas, Vernon Coppenbarger, LaCrosse, Wis., and Edna Coppenbarger, Arkansas City.

He was on the far for a few years near Geuda Springs and Cedar Vale, but the remainder of his active life he followed the carpenter trade. Because of poor health he retired from active life about sixteen years ago.

He was converted and united with the Methodist church at Geuda Springs about 1917, of which church he was a member at the time of his death.

Besides the children he leaves three grandchildren; LeRoy Hovey, Hooser, Kans.; Bonita Mae Coppenbarger and Tommy Lee Coppenbarger, of LaCrosse, Wis. Also two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Peters of Dalton, Kans., and Mrs. Leona Hutchins of Geuda Springs, Kans., and one brother, Alva Coppenbarger of San Antonio, Tex., as well as many other relatives and many friends.
