Beulah was born in Ashton, KS, on March 23, 1923 to Emil and Myrtle Peters. She married Gerald Brewer on July 26, 1943. She and Gerald grew up and lived in the Arkansas City and Geuda Springs area until they moved to Odessa, TX, in 1958 and then to Farmington, NM, in 1973. In 2001 she returned to Odessa to live near her daughter, and in 2006 they both moved to Georgetown, TX, after her daughter's retirement from Odessa College. Beulah was preceded in death by her husband (1998) and son, Richard Keith (2000). She is survived by her son, Daniel Joe Bowker, of Arkansas City; her daughter, Virginia Lynn Whitson of Georgetown, TX; and grandchildren Stephen Whitson of Georgetown, TX; Kerry Turner of Sydney, Australia; Richard, Ronald, and Roger Brewer of Farmington, NM; and 22 great grandchildren.

Beulah was very interested in Genealogy and spent 20 years and a lot of her energy compiling the Peters/Coppenbarger family tree. Her untiring efforts inspired several of her family to continue her work. At least one of her proteges went on to become a genealogist and major contributor in the field of DNA. It is from Beulah's collection that literally hundreds of photos grace the memorials of her friends and relatives on Find a grave.
