Nina Belle was born to Charley Howard & Nellie Gertrude Wasson. She grew up in southern Muskogee and neighboring Le Flore Counties. In 1924 she married Lige Davis who made his living working on oil rigs. Lige died of a heart attack in 1933, leaving Nina with two daughters and a son to raise. Nina Belle married Bill Carnahan in 1938. He passed away in 1945, once again leaving her a widow. She married for the last time to Howard Eads, with whom she lived in Muskogee until his death in 1978.
