Claris Thompson Lawson, 87, daughter of the late Samuel Thompson and Nora Mitchum Thompson, was born July 12, 1906, in Green County and died Friday, Oct. 29, 1993, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and was married to R.B. Lawson, who preceded her in death in 1969. Lawson is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Willow Dean and Marvin Beauchamp of Greensburg; seven step-children; five grandchildren, Alma Jean Warren of Louisville, Rita Hedgespeth of Campbellsville, Randy Beauchamp, Judell Wright and Howard Harvey Beauchamp, all of Greensburg; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Funeral was at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial in the Macedonia Cemetery The Rev. Larry Wisdom and the Rev. Gilbert Larimore officiated. Pallbearers were Junior Wright, Joe B. Hedgespeth, Ricky Warren, Jacky Pierce, Dale Hedgespeth and Travis Wright.
