Bill Pearce - pioneering radio broadcaster and founder of the Nightsounds radio program (WMBI, Moody BIble Institute), based in Chicago, died at Legacy Assisted Living Retirement Community from complications of Parkinsons disease. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was known for his mastery of the trombone. Bill is survived by his children; Bryan, Glenn and Randy, Marcia Johnson, Laurie Spejcher and Shannon Johnson; 14 grandchildren; brother, Rowan Pearce, Jr.; sister-in-law, Jeanne Pearce and brother-in-law, Paul Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne Hopkins. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Neeld Funeral Home is serving the family.
