Mrs. Cates of Little Elm Dies
Mrs. Nannie Cates, wife of J.A. Cates, died Sunday night at her home at Little Elm, and burial took place in the Old Hall cemetery near Lewisville Monday afternoon.
Mrs. Cates was born at Lewisville May 27, 1882, daughter of W.H. Stockard. She was married to J.. Cates at Lewisville in 1901. Besides her husband, the following children survive; Mrs. Homer Green of Calisburg, Mrs. Monroe Allen of Little Elm, Miss Lottie Cates and J.A. Cates Jr. who lived with their parents. Surviving brothers and sisters are J.A. Stockard of Lake Dallas, Dave Stockard of Lewisville, Mrs. George Farmer of Lewisville, Mrs. Will Morgan of Lewisville and Mrs. Nora Shelton of Lewisville. She was a member of the Baptist Church and of the Woodman Circle.
Funeral services were conducted by Revs. Scott Hickey and Mr. Johnson.
