Mrs. Elizabeth Cooley, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at her home, one and on-fourth miles west of Brookston. Death resulted from la grippe and infirmities of age. Mrs. Cooley had been sick just one week. The deceased was born on January 4, 1827 in Ross county, Ohio. Her maiden name was Elizabeth Dunbar, and she was the daughter of Lewis and Mary Dunbar. In 1842 she was married to Calvin Cooley, who is not living., Mrs. Cooley resided with her daughter, Mrs. Charles Bosye, and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends in that community. She was a life-long member of the Methodist church, and was a woman of endearing personality. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Cooley is survived by four brothers and one sister. Services will be held at the home near Brookston on Sunday afternoon and on Monday the body will be forwarded to Colfax where interment will be made in the Union cemetery.
