Rev. Thomas H. Cole, whose death was noticed last week, commenced his labors in Warren County in the neighborhood of Karrsville. His labors there met with abundant success. In December 1841, the first Baptist church was organized at Port Murray, under his labors, and a new church edifice was built. He continued to preach there for some time, but finally resigned, and ever since has been living in that vicinity. During the past year he has been gradually failing in health, but during the winter seemed to be much improved; but he took a new cold, his old complaints returned, and on Monday evening, the 12th inst., he died. His remains were interred in the cemetery at Port Murray.
