Mrs. Meta Watson, 78, died Nov 17, at Onawa Hospital. She had lived in Decatur for about 70 years. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov 20 from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Decatur. The Rev. J. G. Werner officiated. Mrs. Gerald Bacon was soloist and Mrs. Raymond Halstead was at the organ.
Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Warren, George Busse, Lyle Tippery, Charles Busse, Sidney Warren, and Elmer Tippery.
Mrs. Watson, the former Meta Busse, was born May 27, 1887, at Council Bluffs, IA. She was married to D. B. Watson on Oct 10, 1917 in Omaha.
