Theodore William Joseph Busse, son of C.H.W. Busse and Anna Bichel Busse, was born Nov 28, 1903 in Decatur and passed away in Culver City Hospital, Culver City, CA, after a week's illness at the age of 47 years, 3 months, and two days. On Feb 22, 1931, he was united in marriage to Thelma Naomi Smith of Tekamah.
As a small boy Ted was baptized in Decatur. He was a charter member of the Grace Lutheran church in Culver City and served on the church council for three years. His early years were spent on a farm near Decatur, until the year 1935 when he and Thelma moved to southern CA. For the past 15 yrs Ted had been employed at the Metro-Goldwyn Studios in Culver City.
He leaves to mourn him his loving wife Thelma; three brothers and three sisters, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. In Ted's memory a number of memorials were contributed to North NE Home Missions, Lutheran Children's Home, Lutheran Hour, Lutheran Church of Decatur, Women's Aux of the Lutheran Hospital of So CA, and Lutheran Old People's Home of Alhambra, CA.
