Eunice May DeRose, age 89, of Globe, passed away Nov. 21, 2008 at Banner Garden Hospice House in Mesa with her family by her side.

A devoted wife and mother, she was a paralegal for her husband, the late Honorable Judge Barry DeRose, to whom she was married to for 59 years. She was born in Globe to her parents, Roscoe and Mattie Bradley; she was active in the Democratic Women's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and was president of the local VFW Auxiliary.

She was also very active at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe. She was so caring that not only did she raise her own children, she also cared for the Griswold children: Jimmy (Brenda), Kathleen (Tony) Felix, Joe (Carol) , Sara Griswold-Zapeda, and Tim (Erica). She also loved to work, travel, garden, make pomegranate jelly, and especially read.

She is survived by her children: Jerry (Colleen) DeRose of Globe, Julie (John Speirs) DeRose of Seattle, WA, Debbie (Allan) Cameron of Chandler, AZ, and Lenny DeRose of Marianna, FL, 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Honorable Barry DeRose.

Rosary will be Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe where Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow at Globe Cemetery. Donations can be made to Holy Angels School, 1300 Cedar St., Globe, AZ 85501.
Assisting the family is Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
