Loris Dean Moore, age 69, of Caney, Kansas died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Fredonia Regional Hospital in Fredonia, Kansas.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas with the Reverend Brad Sanders of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Havana Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.

Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.

Loris "Dean" Moore was born June 1, 1939 in Havana, Kansas to Loris and Nellie (Corle) Moore. Dean grew up in Havana, Kansas and attended the Havana School System. Dean worked in construction and as a truck driver for Rodeo for several years. He was married to Patricia for many years and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include four brothers Larry and Walter Moore both of Caney, Kansas, Lyall Moore of Arkansas City, Kansas and Ronnie Moore of Winfield, Kansas; one sister Deloris Vaughan of Caney, Kansas; special friend Colleen Edwards of Independence, Kansas.
