Michael Kanon was born in Zolynia, (Galicia) Poland. He was a Holocaust survivor and met his wife Zenia (Tanczewska) Kanon (also a Holacaust survivor) in Germany after the war. After their marriage they immigrated to Haifa, Israel. Their daughter Lana (Leah) Adel was born and then they immigrated to the USA. There they had a second child Bella Gitel (of blessed memory) who died at the age of 4 months in 1957 due to Lobar Pneumonia. They had another baby boy in November of 1957, Louis. In 1972 they immigrated to Petach Tikva, Israel. In 1991 their daughter Lana (Leah) Adel Segura/Shemesh (of blessed memory) passed away due to Melanoma Skin Cancer. Michael Kanon was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 1994 and passed away on June 13th 1995. In 1997 his wife Zenia, was diagnosed with Dementia. On September 24, 2003, Zenia (of blessed memory) passed away due to Acute On Renal Failure and Gastro Intestinal Bleeding. He is survived by his son Louis Kanon, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
