Obituary - Berger Herbert Spencer Berger born to Dr. and Mrs. John Berger, December 19, 1872, passed away at a Wellington hospital January 1, 1945, at the age of 72 years, 13 days.
He was born and reared east of Mulvane. He spent all but a few years of his life as a farmer in Sedgwick County.
He was married to Mary Ann Rennick December 21, 1903. To this union were born two children, Edna Buchanan of Mulvane, and March H. of Wichita, Kansas.
He was a member of the Shiloh U. B. Church and the Modern Woodman Lodge.
He will be remembered by always speaking a good word for others and his kind deeds.
Besides his wife and two children he is survived by four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Esley Darter, Wichita; and Mrs. Allie Dunn, San Juan, Calif.; and two brothers, John and Charled both of Douglass, KS.; and a host of friends.
Services were conducted at the Shiloh United Brethren Church near Mulvane, Kansas, by Dr. C. V. Priddle, superintendent of Kansas Conference, and Rev. Herschel Straw, pastor, on the afternoon of January 2nd. Interment was made in Mulvane Cemetery.
