PLEASANT GARDEN - Daniel Rudolph "Rudy" Coffin, 69, of Pleasant Garden died Wednesday, January 3, 1996, at his residence.
He was a native of Greensboro and a retired machinist. He was a highly decorated World War II and Korean War veteran in the U.S. Marine Corps.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Florida Street Baptist Church, Greensboro, with the Rev. Ron Vernon officiating. The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at the church sanctuary.
Surviving are wife, Barbara, of the home; sons, Victor D. Coffin of Greensboro and Doug Coffin of Greensboro; two grandsons; and two granddaughters.
His remains will be interred at Parris Island, S.C., at a later date.
