Mr. John Neal Allen, of 500 OFerrell St., died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Allens funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Forbis and Dick North Elm Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
John Neal Allen was born in Greensboro on April 23, 1930, to the late John L. and Maxine Toomes Allen. A lifelong resident of Guilford County, Mr. Allen was a graduate of Bessemer High School, retired from Georgia Pacific Corporation with more than 30 years of service and a member of Bessemer United Methodist Church. Mr. Allen was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Allen Deal of Greensboro; two nephews; a loving friend; and numerous caring and loving cousins.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, John L. Allen and Maxine Toomes Allen.
