CLIMAX - Mr. Wayne Jay Albright, 61, a resident of Climax died Saturday March 5, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Albright was born May 20, 1949 in Greensboro a son of Johnny Sheers Albright, Jr. and Lillian Kathleen Shoemaker Albright. He was a member of the Class of 1967 at Grimsley High School. Wayne was a master plumber and worked until his health began to decline. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Campbell and at Fort Bragg. He served in Vietnam and was a member of the 82nd Airborne and the 101st Screaming Eagles.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving are two sons, Johnny Wayne Albright of Randleman, Jeffrey Dwayne Albright of Greensboro; his mother, Lillian K. Albright of Climax and one sister, Vickie Howell of Climax.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel 6000 High Point Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407 conducted by the Reverend Darryl Bodie. Interment with full military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
