Thomas Bell was born in Scotland on January 28, 1934 and was Scottish through and through. He arrived in the United States in 1954 and landed in Michigan. He later moved to New York where he lived for many years. He died in New York on July 19, 2006 in Manhattan. He lived on Central Park West for 34 years. He was a banker and retired from Bankers Trust and Merrill Lynch. He had a ritual of feeding the birds and the squirrels in Central Park and the patio where he lived every day. His body was cremated.

A Memorial Service was held in his honor in Central Park in New York with friends and family on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. where his ashes were scattered by the Pond, and the Bridle path in the park.

His legacy will be one of the nicest people in the world. He will be missed very much.
