Leo was a graduate of John C. Fremont High School in Los Angeles, the class of 1950. He continued his education after graduating from High School in 1950 at The University of California Westwood (UCLA)where he received a masters degree in English Literature. He was not satisfied with teaching so he returned to the University and received a law degree and became a very promising attorney in Los Angeles. At the time of his death he was head of the Law Department at the University of Southern California (USC). The University allowed him a certain amount of time to devote to private practice. He devoted his time being a Public defender for the Los Angeles court system. He had accomplished so much in his short life. He made me proud to have known him and to call him my very best friend. I really miss him terribly.
