Walter Collins, age 86, FUNERAL SERVICE will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11 AM, at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church, Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Sr. and Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick, Jr., Senior Pastors, where he held membership. Mr. Collins transitioned to his new home Sunday, January 29, 2012 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He lived a full and blessed life and will be dearly missed by his loved ones and friends. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Margaret Collins; sons, R. Michael Collins and Ronald Collins; sisters, Ms. Lillie M. Weaver, Ms. Betty M. Donald and Ms. Josephine M. Frazier; brother, Alphonso L. Moore; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; aunt, Ms. Mamie Betha; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and sorrowing friends. Mr. Collins will rest in the mortuary Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at the church from 9 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery. Friends are asked to assemble at the church under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 904-766-9671.
