Samuel Walton Jr. was a Private with the 809 Pioneer Infantry in WWI. He attended Ft. Coffee Neighborhood School. He and his mother were Choctaw Freedmen. They are on the Choctaw Freedmen Census Card #777, his roll number was #3750. Samuel married Sarah Ellen Bass and they had three children. Samuel L. Walton, Richard Daniel Walton and Freddie Turner Walton.
