STOKESDALE— Edwin Milburn Deshazo Jr., 64, of 7865 Athens Road, died Sunday March 13, 2005 at Wesley Long Hospital.

Funeral service for Mr. Deshazo will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the Brooke Chapel of Forbis & Dick Funeral Service in Stokesdale, the Rev. Fred Riggins and the Rev. Jerry Walker will officiate. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

A native of Guilford County, Mr. Deshazo was born on July 22, 1940 the son of Edwin M. and Pauline Church Deshazo Sr. He was a member of the Eastern Gate Assembly of God, attended Oak Level Baptist Church, and served our country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was also a member of the Rifle Association, the Four Wheelers Club, a gun collector, and owner of E and E Refrigeration.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Geraldine Myers Deshazo of the home; daughter Tonya Woodling of Raleigh; sons, Brian Scott Dempsey and Darin Wayne Dempsey both of Stokesdale; brother Dameron C. Deshazo and wife Martha of Pinehurst; brother-in-law Jerry W. Myers of Stokesdale; and two grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Woodling. He was preceded in death by his parents.
