A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Service, Vanstory Street with the Rev. Archie Creed and the Rev. Billy Britt officiating. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park.
Mr. Brewer was born June 19, 1928, in Guilford County, son of the late Turner and Mabel Brewer. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company after 33 years of service and was a lifelong member of Spring Garden Friends Meeting.
Mr. Brewer's wife, Ruby P. Brewer and a brother, W.T. Brewer, preceded him in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Emily Brewer Lawrence and her husband, Edward Lawrence of Moore, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy B. Moorefield of Greensboro; one grandson, Jordan Lawrence of Moore, S.C.; four nephews and one niece.
