A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, in Guilford Memorial Park.
He was born in New York City, on Nov. 8, 1929, to the late Martin and Sarah Quinn Cleary. Mr. Cleary was a painter and had served in the Korean War. He was Catholic and enjoyed watching sports. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna M. Wilson Cleary and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Patricia) Wyke of Lumberport, W.Va.; son, Leonard Lucy of Springfield, Va.; eight grandchildren; step-sons, Terry Honeycutt of Fayetteville and Randy Honeycutt of Greensboro.
