Mrs. S. L. Vance

Mrs. Elizabeth Catherine Vance, seventy-seven years old, wife of Seymour L. Vance, passed away at five-thirty o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Ethridge, 306 Wayne Street. Mrs. Vance had recently come to this city from Lake Worth, Fla., to spend the Summer with her family here.

She was born in Franklin, Pa., May 7, 1853, and had lived here twenty years. She is survived besides her husband by three daughters, Mrs. Ethridge, at whose home she died; Mrs. Maude Davis, this city; Mrs. Stella Tunmer, Alexandria, Ind.; one son, Louis L. Vance, Olean; one brother, John Harton, Granite Falls, Washington; fifteen grandchildren.

Mrs. Vance was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Lake Worth, Fla.

The funeral will be held at the Ethridge home Friday afternoon at three o'clock. The Rev. C.C. Shedd, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
