"Louis L. Vance, 129½ North Thirteenth Street, passed away this morning (December 28, 1949) following a long illness. He was born April 18, 1880, at Ludlow, Pa., and had been a resident of Olean for the past thirty-nine years.
For many years, Mr. Vance had been engaged in the carpentry trade and before his illness had been the janitor at the Trinity Methodist Church.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Bessie M. Vance, he is survived by three sons, Albert L. Vance, Lock Haven, Pa.; Seymour M. Vance, Olean, and Earl C. Vance, Olean. Two sisters, Mrs. George Ethridge, Olean, and Mrs. Stella Tunmer, Winona Lake, Indiana, and four grandchildren.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery."
