Husband of Louisa Virginia Curry. Son of Beverly Tharp and Mary (Polly) Cunningham Tharp. Thornton and Louisa were married on September 27, 1855, at John Curry's house in Warren County, VA. There is an unmarked grave on both sides of Louisa's grave, and undoubtedly one of those graves is that of Thornton.
