The descendants of Emma Kohlermann McBrien are certain that his is her grave. Emma herself made the 1889 land run on horseback (with her baby Theo) and her husband joined her later and claimed the homestead she had chosen. The McBrien homestead would be what is now the SW corner of Hefner Road (108th) and MacArthur Blvd. in OKC - about 2 miles due east of the cemetery.
