George E. Clinton, 57, the vice president and secretary of Gerber Advertising Agency, died of a heart attack at a friend's home in Portland Sunday.

Mr. Clinton 8560 SW Laurel Leaf Lane, was born Aug. 21, 1912, in Chehalis, Wash., and had been with Gerber Advertising Agency since 1947. He was a member of Multnomah Athletic Club, Arlington Club and the Navy League. He was past chairman of the Oregon chapter and a member of the regional board of directors of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

He is survived by a son, M. Sgt. George P. Clinton, stationed with the Air Force in the Philippines.

Funeral services will be private.
