In May 1852 Henry married Sarah Jane Baggerly. They will have 6 children: William, Delia, Palmyra, George, Irma and Fred.
In 1867, Henry, Sarah and their 2 children (Delia, Palmyra) moved to Shiawassee County in Michigan, where their son George was born. Henry's younger brother Jonathan B and family also made this move. Henry owned a 40 acre farm located in the southeastern section of the county along what is now known as Bliven Rd, between Bath Rd and Beard Rd. The 1870 and 1880 census shows the family living here as farmers.
Henry died on 12 Jan 1893 in Atrium and was buried in Union Plains Cemetery in the plot the family had bought when their young daughter Palmyra died.
