Mrs. Madge LaNeil Williams, 78, widow of Edward Williams of 209 Prospect St., died in Warren General Hospital at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 26, 1964. She had been on failing health for the past four months.
She was born in Pittsfield on Aug. 20, 1885, and had been a resident of this area all her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and active in the former Anna Miller Class of the church. Until a short time ago, she had served as corresponding secretary for church college students. In years past, she participated in numerous civic activities.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Elaine) Thomas, Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Edward Thomas, serving with the U. S. Navy in Hawaii, and Sylvia Thomas of Pittsburgh; three nephews and one niece. Her husband died on Aug. 18, 1940.
